Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

1 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.  2 They said, ‘Has Yahweh indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn’t he spoken also with us?’ And Yahweh heard it.  3 Now the man Moses was very humble, more than all the men who were on the surface of the earth.  4 Yahweh spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron and to Miriam. ‘You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!’ The three of them came out.  5 . . . He said, ‘Now hear my words. If there is a prophet among you, I, Yahweh, will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.  7 My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.  8 With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see Yahweh’s form.  Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?’”  Numbers 12:1-8 (WEB)

In regard to all humankind, the Word of God reveals the initial two steps: created and formed. Genesis 1:27 reveals that first YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) created humankind in His image, then as per Genesis 2:7 the LORD formed humankind. That we were first created in the image of the LORD necessarily refers to our spirit because the WORD Who became flesh revealed that God is a Spirit Being. Hence, the present-day Ministry of the Holy Spirit, until the Second Coming of Jesus the Christ, is to Teach each reconciled by the blood of Jesus unto the Family of God as sons & daughters; Spirit to spirit. However, the LORD God never interferes with our own free-will which means that communication between the Holy Spirit and a reborn or re-created spirit may be dormant because the LORD God comes by invitation only. The devil and his cohorts, however, come both un-announced and sans invitation.

Nevertheless, Scripture delineates the fact that GOD is LOVE; and familiarity with the characteristics of LOVE through time with Him and in His Word increases our own awareness and ability to distinguish good from evil. The example of race and/or ethnic discrimination relayed in Number 12:1-8 has nothing to do with the LORD God. Rather, such is the “Modus Operandi/MO” of the devil also referred to as the father of lies and/or the thief whose perpetuation of ungodly behavior is like unto quicksand; and retaliation neither frees from the root of hate nor its source. Rather, the called out ones are to hate evil as opposed to mirroring the behavior of those manipulated by the enemy to do evil. The rescued are to:

  • put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-12)
  • pray without ceasing (Ephesians 6:18; 1Jn 5:16-20)
  • light the dark and preserve as in an aspect of salt (Matthew 5:13-16)
  • discern the evidence of fruit (Matthew 7:15-20; Galatians 5:22-23)
  • bind and cast down with authority in the Name (Mark 16:17)
  • rebuild and restore devastated places by God’s power within (Isaiah 61:4)
